A member of the Octorara area community for over 25 years, Lisa and her husband made the decision to settle down in this rural area not just for its beautiful farmland, but also because of the warm and welcoming people here. Together they started their family and had 3 children, all of whom attended Octorara schools. When her husband passed away in 2014, Lisa was left with many decisions, yet chose to stay here, in the community that continued to love and support her family during those troubling times. So when it came time to give back to her community, Lisa agreed to and was unanimously appointed to the Octorara school board. She was elected in 2021, and is back now running for re-election. Lisa has worked in the insurance claims industry for 30 years, and has been actively involved with her kids and the Octorara schools as a volunteer for many activities. She believes it takes a village, and she loves giving back to the village that gave her and her family so much.
