Official Judge Retention Questions
On your ballot, there are five judges up for retention. These judges include:
Justice of the Supreme Court – Thomas G. Saylor (Republican)
Justice of the Supreme Court – Debra Todd (Democrat) – Vote Yes
Judge of the Superior Court – Jacqueline O. Shogan (Republican)
Judge of the Court of Common Pleas – David F. Bortner (Republican)
Judge of the Court of Common Pleas – Katherine L. Platt (Republican)
Your choice for these candidates is YES or NO
YES – A Yes vote indicates that this person will have another term of office without having to be elected again.
NO – A No vote does not immediately remove this judge from office. They will still be the judge in that position. It means that they need to run for office again in the next election. A No vote is a request that this person tells the community who they are and what they stand for. They will need to defend their record. It also gives the opportunity for another candidate (a Democrat or an Independent) to run against them.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.
